As a group project in response to David Bowie's Song 'Life on Mars' we created a large piece of work that was also influenced by John Hoyland. We focused on Bowie's stlye of music, lyrics, moods and colours.
I feel that Bowie's Music is rather calm until you listen to the lyrics as they're rather trippy and weird which is creative and opens up your imagination. My main idea was to have a calm, cool background of blues, purples and pastel colours and then in the foreground there would be bright vibrant colours like greens, yellows, reds, oranges and the occasional brown.
