These 7 Typefaces/Fonts above were created using non-Traditional Graphic techniques. The Types of Media that i have used are Fineliner/Gel pens, Watercolour, Ink, Water and Acrylic.
About 6/7 of these outcomes were successful as I found that the third typeface was rushed and i wasn't too careful when adding extra water to the watercolour paint, this was meant to make a possible marble effect, instead is just bled into the paper and affected the fine liner outlining the letter. The majority of the materials worked well together and i found that the first and fifth typeface came out looking the best.
I chose to increase the scale of my acrylic simple font and included different media. I started with some Corrugated cardboard and removed top layers to create a textured effect. I then used a mixture of emulsion, Ink and Acrylic to create a texture/colourful background before i added the letter. I used a large template and some red/purple acrylic and a sponge to create the outline. i removed the template and used some white oil pastel to highlight areas.
Do you think these outcomes have been successful/not successful? How effectively do the different materials work together?
